A genuine hideaway for saying ‘I do’ in Oxford.

The 17th-century Old Parsonage Hotel, nestled at the head of historic St Giles Boulevard, sets the stage for a truly romantic celebration. A picturesque central Oxford location, it offers a characterful function room and an al fresco pavilion, both licenced for civil wedding ceremonies – ideal for intimate weddings and receptions.

The events team has a wealth of experience in choreographing weddings with only your closest family and friends on the guest list. Vows exchanged, step out of the Pike Room and onto the walled terrace for canapés and champagne beside the hotel’s climbing wisteria, or opt for photos in the tranquil courtyard, the Garden Room, circled by greenery.

Saying ‘I do’

Catering

From thoughtful personal touches to indulgent champagne and canapés, we are dedicated to tailoring every detail to your specific desires. Our chefs at Parsonage Grill find joy in curating an expert selection of British dishes, blending tradition with a light, modern touch. You have the option to choose between a classic or premium three-course wedding menu, and we offer a complimentary menu tasting for two within two months of your wedding ceremony or reception. For standing receptions, delectable canapés are also available.

Just a stone’s throw away, Gees Restaurant, nestled within Oxford’s famous glasshouse, provides a delightful taste of the Mediterranean. The conservatory and Gees Gallery, both licensed for civil ceremonies, are perfectly suited for larger wedding groups. These spaces offer an elegant backdrop for hosting a reception following an intimate ceremony at the Parsonage, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable celebration.
